Stop Junk Email

If you have an email account, you have probably had to deal with spam email. Though you can ignore it sometimes and just delete it, there are moments when you want to rip your hair out. I have an email that filters the spam into a bulk folder, but there are some that sneak into my inbox. It seems that it is impossible to stop junk email, or at least not all of it. This morning I took exception to the email and started talking out loud to the sender. I do not want your stupid email, I'm not going to open it, and I'm never going to buy anything you are trying to sell. That did me no good, but it sure felt good to say it out loud.

There are ways to stop junk email, but like I said, you can't stop it all. If you have Hotmail or Yahoo, you have a filtering system that tries to put all of your junk into a folder so you can get rid of it without looking at it. While it does not stop junk email totally, it does a good job for the most part. However, it is not perfect. Some of the emails that I want to get have been sent to the bulk folder and have been lost. It is a chance you take. Sometimes when an important email is missing I have to filter though all of that junk and it makes me very angry. I do not have the time for that.

You can also get a program to stop junk email. This program might be a slight inconvenience for those that are emailing you, but it is a very minor annoyance. When someone sends you an email, they have to put in a code to assure the software that they are a real person. They only have to do it once though, and I can see where this would stop junk email from getting through. I don't have it yet, but I am seriously considering getting it. I have friends who use it, and they seem to like it.

If you want to stop junk email, you may have to get a new email account and start all over again. You should know where these people get your address in the first place, and that might help you to stop junk email from piling up on you. They find it if you list in anywhere online, and they get it from other websites. If you sign up for something, make sure they state that they will not sell your address. You may want to get a second email address to use just to sign up for things. That way your personal email address can remain relatively spam-free.
