Plant Stands

I have what some would call a brown thumb. I can not seem to keep a plant alive unless it is meant to be a hardy plant that requires very little care. I do not know why I have such a problem, but I do. When I do find a plant that can survive my own special brand of neglect, as you can imagine, I am overjoyed. That means I want to keep that plant. However, if it is not me trying to kill it, it is my pets or my kid. That means I need plant stands to keep them up and out of the way if at all possible.

Some plants stands are just for decoration. If you have a green thumb and have a ton of thriving plants in your home, this is a great way to show them off. You can get plants stands that have one or two spots for your plants, or you can get larger ones that might hold eight or ten of them in one spot. If you are forgetful about watering, having many in one place might be a great reminder for you.

Other plant stands are more for practicality than anything. If you have cats, you probably know they want to eat your plants. For some reasons, cats often like to eat green, grassy items, and they may be eyeing your plants. This means you should find plants stands or even plant hangers to keep your pets away from your greenery. This is not only for the sake of keeping the plant in one piece, it is also for the safety of your pet. Some plants are poisonous to animals and even children, and should be kept out of reach at all times.

You can always find plant stands in your local store if you look, or you can visit a nursery to see if they have anything to offer. If you are handy with tools, you can always build your own plant stands so you are getting exactly what you need. There are hundreds of different ones you can buy online, and if you are looking for something special or out of the ordinary, you may want to look for them on the Internet first. You may pay a little more when you have to pay for shipping, but it will be worth it if you can find the perfect stand for your needs and for your home.
