Network Printers One of the toughest things that you can deal with in the office is the network printer. Though these are good in theory, they are not so good in practice. These are often a source of frustration for many who must share, but companies looking to save money are apt to get them for many sectors of their business. That means learning to live with sharing printers and everyone learning to help each other out when they need it. Cooperation is a must if everyone is to keep a cool head. The set up of the network printers is rather simple. This just means that there are multiple computers that must share the same printer. This is something that I used in many of my college computer labs, but it was never a big deal for me because I was going to school at night. However, I can see why those using network printers during day hours at a school or a business could become very frustrated. When you print, you have to wait for all of the print jobs that were sent before yours. This means a long wait at times, and it also means your print job can become mangled and missing before it can print out due to date issues. Network printers can be a pain for those at work and at school, but are a great idea for home office use if you have more than one computer in your home. You can have one printer that will do the work for all of the ones you have in your home. Most at home only print something out on occasion, so most jobs come right out when they are sent with no waiting. If you can set up network printers in your home, you can save a lot of money because you do not have to get one for each computer. You and those you work with may have to work something out in regards to network printers if it is becoming an issue for you. When you have something that must come out now, you should find a way to work with those you work with to be sure the printer is open for rush or last minute jobs. They won't appreciate it if you are constantly late with projects and in a rush, but this type of system works well when you are given something last minute that must be printed. Working out a system about the network printers can save a lot of aggravation at work when it seems the printer is never done printing. |
