Curious George

You never know what types of stories your children will love, and which ones they will not want to hear about again. There are some new ones that most kids love, but there are classics that seem to stand the test of time. This is often because the author of the story, or the creator of a character, found a way to reach children on a level that is very real and very comfortable to them. One of these classics that most children will love is Curious George. You probably remember him from your own childhood.

Curious George is a monkey that seems to do nothing but get into trouble. This is probably why so many children relate to him. They find that more often than not they are doing something they should not be doing. Curious George always gets into trouble quite innocently, and that is the same with most children. They are very curious about the world around them, and that might lead them to do things that their parents might not want them to do.

I know that my daughter loves Curious George, and it seems that most of the children in her class love him as well. Not only is George someone they can relate to in terms of finding mischief without really trying, he is also an animal. For some reason, animals also touch something in children that allows them to connect very easily. I'm not sure what it is, but perhaps it is because they are small, like children, and also because they are very different. People have hair on their heads, but animals are covered with all types of soft, cuddly fur. What child can resist that?

If you want to find Curious George for your children, you have a few options. There are the classic stories that you can still find, and you can also find the newer movie made about Curious George just a little bit ago. There are also newer books that go along with the new movie. Some find the older versions of the story a bit out of touch with the times, but the story is still a good one. There are also stuff animals you can get if your child falls in love with George, and many other toys and programs that they can enjoy. If your child is going to love something, George is not a bad idea. Not only is he funny, they will learn something along the way as well.
