Movie Reviews

The world loves entertainment. It a simple way for us to indulge in a little vicarious fun. Maybe you enjoy watching a football or basketball game. At some point during the event you're likely to pretend you're part of the game; maybe even scoring major points. This is awesome. We all do the same thing with movies. People love relating to fictional characters and pretending to live in their shoes, even if only for a mere 90 minutes. While we're on the topic of movies, what makes a great movie experience for you? Better yet, do you trust the movie reviews displayed online and in newspapers? While many individuals take professional reviews to heart, there are oodles of people who pay them no attention, nor grant them any merit.

Do movie reviews affect your decision to head off to the local cinema and view a film? This is an interesting topic to address since it plays off the notion of influence. Do high-paid movie critics and their opinions on new releases make decisions for you? It's very safe to say that a professionally movie reviewer will deter certain individuals from ever seeing a film, but they'll also have the opposite effect if they grant the movie a stellar review. We listen to these critics because we have faith in their education regarding film.

Professionals such as Robert Ebert have plenty to offer. I admit that I take his critique into account, and find that I often agree with him. However, having said that, movie reviews do not deter me from seeing a film that I truly am curious about. In the end I must form my own opinion. Especially since I've seen a number of films reviewed poorly, but then I ended up liking them. We all have different opinions and taste.

Check out an array of movie reviews on the web at any time. One of the coolest sites to check out is rottontomatoes.com. Here you'll discover varying opinions on a variety of films. While some critics may give a certain feature a thumbs-up, others will bash it into the ground. Much depends on the person writing the movie review. When it comes down to it, you can see how many individuals are writing negative reviews on a film and how many are praising it. If the movie receives many more bad reviews than good, chances are it's a flop. But, you truly won't know for sure until you see it yourself.
