Marvel Toys Superheroes are more popular than ever as comic book stories are being adapted for TV and movie versions. Some of the most popular characters are to be found within the pages of Marvel and Marvel toys such as action figures and their accessories are keenly collected by fans. When a company called Toy Biz became the toy division of the Marvel empire, they set about improving the quality of the figures, making them more realistic and giving them better detail. Marvel Comics began in the 1960s and gained a reputation for hiring the best artists and writers. The way that the writers and artists collaborated closely on strips became known as the Marvel Method. Their first title was the Fantastic Four, contributed to by the now legendary Stan Lee who went on to work on Spider-Man. Marvel has a loyal core of supporters and Marvel Toys are considered collector's items. As the stories are updated and presented to a modern audience, the demand for merchandise grows. Toys kept in their boxes and in good condition may prove to be a good financial investment for the future The X-Men range is very popular in the wake of three movies released and the TV series. Action figures include Professor Xavier, Wolverine, Cyclops, Rogue and Storm. A more recent X-Men Evolution line refers to the animated series, which featured some of the characters as teenagers and ran for 52 episodes. Spider-Man is another favorite franchise and Spider-Man Classic Marvel toys are the latest in quality sculpting. The superhero and evil Venom have an impressive thirty points of articulation. The Classic series also includes toys for Daredevil and his enemy, Rhino. Other lines include Hulk, Captain America, and the Iron Man. Hulk is shown at various stages of anger, culminating in complete rage! He also comes, dangling from a bungee rope. Captain America and Iron Man and assorted villains are part of the Marvel Legends series and come with a base that can be wall mounted. They are also accompanied by a full length comic book. The Fantastic Four is another set of heroes who have been brought to life in the movies and Marvel toys have produced figures for Reed Richards, Sue and Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm and the Silver Surfer. There is also a range of play sets and accessories that includes Spider-Man's shooting gloves and Wolverine's claw gloves. Hulk's hands turn into Thing hands. |
